RESEARCH SAYS
(Zhai et al., 2024)

I have to finish my assignments , the deadline was LAST NIGHT !
I really hope my manager likes the work I’ve done and I get promoted
The pressure is not just from school, but also from parents.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
How might we encourage critical and lateral thinking among young adults that are relying on AI tools for short fixes?

Socratic thinking
“ Let the questions be the curriculum”
The Socratic Method is particularly effective in educational settings, ethical deliberations, and any scenario where the goal is to explore ideas deeply rather than to find quick solutions. It's a powerful tool for those looking to foster a culture of inquiry, debate, and critical thinking.
Named after the classical Greek philosopher Socrates, this method emphasizes the importance of asking probing questions to stimulate critical thinking and illuminate ideas.

Some Self Reflection Notes!
To empower children to make informed food choices — not by being told, but by discovering it themselves through play.
Why Nutriland?
Why Socrates?
Encourage young adults to think critically and reflectively instead of over-relying on AI tools for quick answers.
🎯
To empower children to make informed food choices — not by being told, but by discovering it themselves through play.
Why Nutriland?
The Insight
Users felt a strange ego hurt — they knew relying on AI made them feel “dumb,” but couldn’t stop.
It was a shortcut that saved time but chipped away at confidence and thinking skills.

Why Nutriland?
The Spark
What if AI didn’t just solve things, but challenged users to reflect?
That idea sparked Socrates — a space where questions lead, not answers.

Why Nutriland?
The Challenge
Designing for discomfort was tricky.
We had to create a tool that gently confronts ego without scaring users away. Balancing depth with empathy took time and nuance.

The Growth
I learned how to translate abstract emotions like doubt, insecurity, and reflection into product behavior.
This project sharpened my sensitivity to psychological UX and value-driven design.

The Outcome
Socrates became more than a tool — it became a conversation starter.
Winning “Best Vision” reinforced my belief that design can be both ethical and bold.
